ATBC: MALAYSIA STRIKES DOUBLE GOLD IN BANGKOK

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 19 (Bernama) -- Malaysia had a good day in office, clinching two gold medals, after victories in both men’s and women's doubles events at the 27th Asian Tenpin Bowling Championships (ATBC) in Bangkok, today.

In the women’s event, Sin Li Jane and Natasha Roslan claimed the gold medal with a total of 2,614 pinfalls, beating South Korea's Baek Seung Na and Jung Da Wun, who took silver with 2,510 pinfalls.

Malaysia also secured the bronze medal through Nora Lyana Nastasia and Nur Syazwani Sahar, who knocked down 2,450 pins.

In the men's doubles, Tun Hakim Tun Hasnul Azam and junior bowler Shaqeem Izwan Teh Shahrul Hafiz Teh secured another gold for Malaysia with a total of 2,647 pinfalls, defeating South Korea’s Park Dong Hyuk and Bae Jung Hun, who finished with 2,615 pinfalls to take silver.

South Korea also claimed the bronze medal through Lee Ik Kyu and Hwang Dong Wook, who knocked down 2,596 pins.
