25/06/2024 10:38 PM

KUALA LUMPUR, June 25 (Bernama) – Information technology services company Kronologi Asia Bhd is seeking a business opportunity to participate in the recently announced RM9.4 billion Google data centre project in Selangor.

Kronologi executive director and chief operating officer Tan Jeck Min said the company is keeping a close eye on finding ways for the company to meet project requirements.

“When it comes to projects like this, everybody will be targeting it so we have to look at how we can get ourselves involved,” he told reporters after the corporate briefing (corporate update financial year 2024) here today.

Kronologi is involved in the technology service business, which includes enterprise data management infrastructure technology (EDM IT) and cloud and hybrid as-a-service (AAS) segments.

According to reports, technology giant Google is set to invest US$2 billion in Malaysia, including the development of its first Google data centre and Google Cloud region to meet the growing demand for cloud services locally and around the world, and artificial intelligence literacy programmes for students and educators.

Google has selected Sime Darby Property’s Elmina Business Park in Sungai Buloh, as its site to develop the data centre and cloud region.
