KUALA LUMPUR, June 25 (Bernama) -- The Leadership Madani Thinkers Programme of UiTM Administration throughout Malaysia will be extended to other Institutes of higher education (HEIs) after this, said Minister of Higher Education Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir.
The matter was announced by Zambry in a post on his Facebook page tonight.
He said the programme aims to bring the ranks of IPT leadership, lecturers and young leaders together to appreciate the latest direction of national development and trace the history of the nation.
Zambry further explained that the two-day programme organised by the Malaysian National Academy (AKM) in collaboration with UiTM had gathered a total of 74 participants from UiTM's highest leadership across the country with the aim of strengthening the direction of the institution in line with the MADANI Malaysia agenda and the appreciation of Rukun Negara.
Meanwhile, sharing what he emphasised when attending the programme today, Zambry said the University of Technology Mara (UiTM) needs to move quickly in line with the various dimensions of change that are happening now.
He also said that UiTM should no longer be haunted by the status of a government university that relies entirely on the government.
