OVER 300,000 VISITORS EXPECTED AT MADANI RAKYAT 2024 PROGRAMME IN KUANTAN

KUANTAN, June 29 (Bernama) -- Over 300,000 visitors are expected to flood the MADANI Rakyat 2024 Programme for the Eastern Zone, to be held at Dataran Sayangi Kuantan from July 5 to 7, offering a host of attractions including over 1,700 job opportunities through the Job Carnival.

State Felda Affairs, Cooperatives, and Entrepreneurs Committee chairman Datuk Amizar Abu Adam said the expected turnout over the three days will be achieved through various activities organised in collaboration with both federal and state government agencies.

"The programme includes a 50 per cent reduction in traffic fines, the distribution of government aid and other services from government departments, as well as performances by popular artistes such as Datuk Jamal Abdillah, DJ Dave, Siti Nordiana and Aina Abdul.

"There will also be talks by speakers including Datuk Badli Shah Alauddin and Prof Dr Sharifah Hayaati Syed Ismail," he said during an interview on Pahang FM today.

For traffic flow throughout the programme, Amizar said that the state government will provide free shuttle buses every 15 minutes from Stadium Darul Makmur and Serambi Teruntum.

The MADANI Rakyat Eastern Zone Programme will be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on July 6, with top leaders from the federal and state government in attendance.

In addition to bringing services directly to the people, this programme aims to establish a continuous communication channel between the community and the government, thereby strengthening relationships in the effort to build a more prosperous nation in line with the Malaysia MADANI agenda.
