GAZA, June 17 (Bernama-WAFA) -- The death toll arising from the Israeli genocidal aggression on the blockaded Gaza Strip climbed to 37,337 people, medical sources said on Sunday.
They announced that the death toll and the number of casualties resulting from the ongoing Israeli genocidal offensive in the war-torn Strip have risen to 37,337 and 85,229 respectively, with the majority being women and children, Palestine News and Info Agency (WAFA) reported.
They added that within the last 24 hours, the Israeli occupation forces committed four massacres in the Strip, resulting in the killing of 41 people and injuring 102 others.
Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.
Palestinian and international organisations said that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children.
The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
