LAHAD DATU, June 20 (Bernama) -- An express bus skidded and plunged into a ravine at Batu 9, Jalan Silam, here tonight.
A spokesman for the Sabah Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) operations centre said they received a call about the incident at 9.24 pm.
"A total of seven officers and personnel were dispatched to the scene, which is approximately 23 kilometres from the Lahad Datu Fire and Rescue Station," he said in a statement tonight.
According to him, the rescue operation is still ongoing, and the number of victims involved has yet to be determined.
"Information will be updated from time to time," the statement read.
