KUALA LUMPUR, July 3 (Bernama) -- Takaful IKHLAS, a wholly owned subsidiary of MNRB Holdings Bhd (MNRB), launched four personal accident takaful products including the IKHLAS Bekerja Personal Accident Takaful for daily paid workers such as drivers, deliverymen and e-hailing workers.
The four products are the IKHLAS Membantu Personal Accident Takaful, IKHLAS Melindungi Personal Accident Takaful, IKHLAS Bekerja Personal Accident Takaful and IKHLAS Merawat Personal Accident Takaful.
Under IKHLAS Bekerja Personal Accident Takaful, daily paid workers such as drivers, couriers and e-hailing workers can get up to RM30,000 in coverage and a daily hospital allowance benefit of RM100.
Meanwhile, IKHLAS Melindungi Personal Accident Takaful covers up to RM75,000 with up to RM1,500 in hardship allowance due to snatch theft and robbery.
IKHLAS Merawat Personal Accident Takaful covers medical expenses up to RM2,000 annually and IKHLAS Membantu Personal Accident Takaful provides coverage up to RM100,000.
Takaful IKHLAS General Bhd president and chief executive officer Datuk Rudy Rodzila Che Lamin said the new products' main focus is to provide protection plans that increase financial resilience, especially for low-income groups.
He said the products were also introduced to provide financial protection for a segment of society that lacks it.
"We hope that the community will be more aware of the need and importance of personal accident takaful because it also gives peace of mind to the insured and their families," he said in a statement today.
The products provide year-round financial protection in the event of death or permanent loss of ability and are equipped with features according to individual needs for those aged 18 to 80, and are priced as low as RM56.52 per year.
