KOTA KINABALU, July 5 (Bernama) -- Sabah FC announced foreign striker Ramon Machado’s intention to part ways with the team today.
Club director Md Joh Wid thanked the Brazilian for his contributions to the team, stating that the club, staff and fans were all very grateful.
“It is with a heavy heart that I officially announce that striker Ramon Machado will end his contract with Sabah FC,” he said in a statement here today.
He paid tribute to Ramon, who became a fan favourite thanks to his beautiful goals and assists, and pointed out how his deft quick movements on the field became a signature at Likas Stadium.
“Anyhow, we need to continue the journey that lies ahead of us. Football is a team sport. I have full trust in all our players as they continue to play their roles in taking on our next challenge.
“Continue to support us and help us achieve the successes we have set,” he said, as he wished Ramon and his family, who are returning to Brazil, all the best in their future endeavours.
