KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 20 (Bernama) -- Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil has expressed his condolences to the family of former Deputy Minister of Communications and Multimedia Datuk Eddin Syazlee Shith, who died today.
In a post on the X platform, Fahmi said Eddin Syazlee was an experienced and open-minded colleague in the political arena.
"I pray that his soul be blessed and placed among the faithful and righteous.
"Condolences to his entire family. Al-Fatihah," he said.
Eddin Syazlee, 50, died at 7.10 am at his house in Taman Bukit Chedang, Seremban.
He leaves behind his wife Datin Dr Nurul Azlin Ibrahim, two sons and a daughter.
Eddin Syazlee also previously served as Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department and Deputy Works Minister.
Meanwhile, Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo also expressed his condolences to the family of the late Eddin Syazlee in a post on Facebook.
Gobind said Eddin Syazlee was the Deputy Minister when he held the position of Communications and Multimedia Minister from 2018 to 2020.
"With a heavy heart and sadness, I extend my condolences to the entire family of my friend, the late Datuk Eddin Syazlee Shith.
"May all his family members remain strong and patient in facing this trial," he said.
