NEW YORK, June 22 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The US dollar increased in late trading on Friday, reported Xinhua.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, went up 0.2 per cent to 105.796 at 3.00 pm (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro dropped to US$1.0695 from US$1.0711 in the previous session, and the British pound declined to US$1.2647 from US$1.2671 in the previous session.
The US dollar bought 159.54 Japanese yen, higher than 158.80 Japanese yen of the previous session.
The US dollar was up to 0.8942 Swiss francs from 0.8909 Swiss francs, and it rose to 1.3699 Canadian dollars from 1.3689 Canadian dollars. The US dollar added to 10.5128 Swedish kronor from 10.4955 Swedish kronor.
