RAMALLAH, June 24 (Bernama-WAFA) -- The Israeli occupation military court in Salem extended on Monday, and for the third time, the detention of Rasha Hirzallah, a journalist working for the Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA) until Aug 11.

WAFA reported that the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) said a new session was held on Monday for Harzallah in the Israeli court in Salem, during which her detention was extended until Aug 11.

Raed Mahameed, the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission's lawyer, said that the court decided to extend the extension until Aug 11 under the pretext of completing “judicial procedures”.

It is noteworthy that a court session was held for Hirzallah on June 10, which in turn, decided to extend her detention for two weeks.

Earlier in June, Israeli intelligence summoned Hirzallah for investigation at a detention centre in the illegal Ariel colony.

She went there with a lawyer, and upon their arrival, she was informed that she would be detained for 72 hours.
